Colin Johnco has been living in Paris and in Berlin. He’s spent the last 10 years exploring and fusing various tracks and pathways. Experimental and electronic music, sonic installations and illustrations, composition and DJing, setting up the label LEEP / CJC Records and — most recently — Johnkôôl Records with DJ Kôôl of Collective Sin~.
He’s founded the bands Dr(Dr)One and Dem Leedz and his discography includes collaborations with other artists (FareWell Poetry, Swim Johnco, Pacific Salmons with NSDOS).
The music of Colin Johnco is unique in its desire to establish surprising connections between a diverse range of origins, inspired by Afx, Art Blakey, or Erik Satie.
In 2018 he released his new solo album “However Far Away” on Johnkôôl records. This album will pick up the threads laid out by his 2011 solo release “Neo Love”.
This new album, recorded and mixed by Bérangère Maximin at INA/GRM studio, aligns itself in the closest proximity to what Colin wants to carry on and express through his creative process and music.
